Beautiful winter sunset off of the deck. The only complaint I have is that it happens too early in the day in January. I'm so glad the sun is staying out a little bit longer each day now!
Bryan was in Hong Kong from January 1st to the 17th.
It was a long, cold, and dark time
Bentley was extremely sick
Fever of 104 for 6 days
Swollen neck and glands
He coughed so hard that he puked
Then the furnace broke down and the kitchen sick water pipes froze
Blood tests confirmed that Bentley did NOT have mono as the doctor suspected (thank goodness)
But then he got a stomach bug that lasted another week.
My saving graces came in the form of my Mom (who brought me a Cafe Rio salad and some little toys for the kids before she and my Dad went to stay the week in St. George)
And my brother Gary, who was daring enough to enter the sick house and bring us a space heater when the furnace was out.
He also got a hold of a furnace fix it guy who came the next day and fixed the furnace!
Eventually the water pipes thawed out
and Bryan returned.
Halleluja
He came bearing gifts of Chinese name chops
Pretty Cool.
We are enjoying having him home until he must be off to Taiwan.
And this time I'm hoping everyone stays healthy!!
