When I was a kid I loved to ride my bike down to Timp Freeze (aka The Sleeze Freeze) and get an ice-cream cone. I always had the hope that the tiny plastic figurine they put in my ice-cream would be a mermaid. The mermaid was the coolest one. Sometimes I'd get a sword or a monkey (which were also cool) but, my favorite was the mermaid and it was the coolest of them all.
It re-opened a few years ago and I snapped this picture of my mom with Bentley, Sophia and George enjoying some greasy fries.
