The birthday girl started off her morning with pancakes and strawberries (with marshmallows for eyes). Her mom didn't think it through very well or she would have bought sausage the night before since Cecily loves sausage!! (I think she was a bit pre occupied with planning the party).
After breakfast she got to open presents from us - her family! One of those presents was a kid camera that really works. It is what she really wanted this year and she loves it!

She also got a play dough hair salon set.
She was so happy. She had been counting down the days to her birthday for so so long!

A few months ago when she first started talking about her birthday she wanted to wear her dorothy costume and have a wizard of oz party. But after talking to some of her friends on the bus she changed her mind. A lot of them weren't familiar with that movie and so she changed her mind to a slip and slide party. We added the Luau theme and it was a hit!

Jeff and Deanne lent us their giant blow up water slide and we had two other slip and slides as well. We also had gunny sack races and did the limbo! Bryan provided all the Hawaiian tunes from Pandora and all of the great pictures. There were so many great ones that I narrowed it down to what seems like 50 or something.
We made it through the party with about 15 kids and only one injury. Cecily got hurt when she walked in front of the swing set when someone was swinging and smacked right into her arm. She was cut up and bleeding but very tough! She shook it off and had a great day!

That looks like a lot of fun...and SO much work! I really caught myself wondering if it is worth it this year for Zoe. But, I guess it is only once a year.
No wonder Olivia and Cecily get along so well. Last year for Olivia's birthday out of all the places to go eat for lunch she choose dee's so she could eat a plate full of sausage.
