Cecily's first day on the bunny hill

In early March we went out for a fun family ski day. Cecily had been in ski school one time the year before but the instructor told us she wouldn't ski with "those two skis on." So apparently she just scooted around in the kid coral with one ski on. She was only three then so we thought we would take her out with us on the bunny hill this year. The weather was warm warm warm. It was the perfect day for a little one like her.
She made some progress but is still kind of paralyzed by fear and lack of balance. The fear is causing the lack of balance in my opinion. Daddy was there to help and she loved riding the first time ski lift. Bentley tried to be patient as he can actually ski and enjoys bigger runs than the bunny hill. After we all took about 4 runs Cecily was ready to call it a day so she and I left to run an errand while Daddy and Bentley went up higher and skied sunny side over and over. I think next year will be Cecily's year. There is nothing better than to be outside in the mountains with your whole fam.

It's strange. When we went in early march you can see the dirt on the side of the hill where all the snow had melted. Since this last storm it is all white again. And made for some great skiing this weekend. (I'll be posting the tough chick ski day adventure post soon. Complete with a video with Millie skiing deep powder on Pinecone).
This was after a little rest she and I took on the side. When daddy and Bentley came up to us she was ready to try again. I think she is putting on her skis here.
Here we go!
On first time lift.
What a difference two years makes on skis. Bentley loves the groomers now! I'm a little bummed he has reached the age where he is no longer free to ski at Park City. It was so nice to take him for free. But once you are seven years old that's it.

When we were having our peanut butter and honey sandwhiches for lunch these dogs were out and about advertising their beer brand. The kids got to pet them and had no idea there main purpose was to advertise alcohol.
There was even a puppy. I think they said he was 11 weeks old.

It's so much fun when your kids can finally ski with you. She looked cute out there on that little hill. It's a fine line with kids between having fun and pushing their limits. She looked like she was having fun and that's half the battle...don't you think?
